This is us accepting the new keys after a lonnnnnng and grueling 8 hour day to pickup our new RV. We horrifically blew a tire while towing our old trade-in on the way to the Stealership to pick up the new rig and it tore up the side of the thing. Then we got what has to be the most underwhelming walk-through from a mechanic that’s probably an ace in the shop, but as knowledgeable as the pamphlet… seemingly less. More of that story later.

We’ve been RV’ing since 2007 with a pre-owned Cougar Bunkhouse (’04 Keystone Cougar 293BHS) so we’re not new to sturdy camping. After our daughter and only child left for the US Navy as an Airman we suddenly found ourselves with far too many beds in the ‘ol RV and no more sleepovers! So it was time to finally upgrade and get something that suited our new empty-nesting lifestyle. Out of the purchase of our very first brand new RV came a lot of fixing things the factory got wrong as well as upgrading things to make it our own. To document this journey we decided to share it here. Enjoy!
